First, a picture of Alaina in her Easter dress before heading out the door...

Then, a picture of Alaina at church - one hand taken by daddy, the other securely grasping her cup of puffs (nursery snack)...

Then, another picture in the parking lot of the church, passing the 6,000 egg hunt which was about to commence.

We knew if we let her hunt for eggs at church, she would not want to leave. And we were in a time crunch. We had to get home to cook lunch and put Alaina down for a nap. Thankfully, she did not fully understand what she was missing.

Before long, all my kitchen timers were a beepin' and the door bell was a ringin'! The family had arrived! Lunch was de-lish, if I do say so myself :)

After lunch, we all headed outside to witness Alaina's 1st ever Easter egg hunt. But first she found a little basket of treats from the Easter Bunny himself!

The full view of Alaina's Easter basket...

Next, the hunt was ON!

What a pro!

Believe it or not, we were not successful in snapping even 1 complete family photo yesterday. Not. even. one. "Someone" chose to whine and wiggle her way out of her mommy's arms during show time. This "Someone" was more interested in slirping her sticky sucker than cooperating long enough to take a quick picture.

So then there were 2...

This is the best shot I have of the 3 of us. Technically, we all are in the photo...kinda...does this count? ;)

I guess you can do anything you want on Easter as long as you are cute :) And especially when the grandparents are present. Alaina soaked up every bit of attention. She seemed to have a special charm target aimed right at her grandfathers. She ran from Poppy to Pops, kissing them both on the neck (her new thing) and generously giving hugs :)

Swingin' and sucker lickin' with Pops :) :) :)

"Pops" must be short for popsicles. Pops always seems to have a popsicle close by :)

Happy Easter!!!

love the shades - too cool! :)
the unwillingness to take a picture is probably one of my only complaints about this age..... libbi acts like we are borderline abusing her if we even attempt to take her picture. every now and then we can bribe her with candy (which i am totally okay with!) but it typically ends up just being me and jeffrey. i'm hoping once the new baby is here, maybe she'll be persuaded to join the family - ha!
