An early Happy 4th of July wish to all of you! I have been looking forward to this weekend for so long. July 4 is always a festive day for our family because it's my mom's birthday and all the family gets together for a cookout/hangout. This shindig takes place in Blairsville, GA at Babelle & Paw's house (my grandparents). This year is extra special because my mom turns 50!!! (sorry, mom, to give away your true age, but you definietly don't look 50 if it helps.) And it's extra, extra special because this Saturday my mom completes her course which will move her one step closer to the PhD she's after. It's been a grueling year for her with all the books to read and papers to write, presentations, etc. And now it's time to celebrate that it's all over...for now!
So we had planned to have a larger than normal celebration with lots of extended family and even blue grass music on Saturday. But everything may be up in the air now that Paw had to be taken to the hospital. He suffered a heart attack earlier this week and was flown to St. Joe's via helecopter. Babelle is with him or nearby I believe. Hopefully he will be ok and they will get to go home soon. More details to come...
