Call me "Negative Nelly" or "Debbie Downer" if you will. I just have to vent! It feels like we're on a sinking ship, in many ways. Family, friends, and even random people I encounter are having such difficult times due mostly to the economy. Businesses are crumbling, people are losing jobs or making less money, sickness is everywhere, etc. It seems everyone is having some type of major hardship.
To prove my point, you know it's bad when a random customer walks into the AT&T Kennesaw sales/customer service center (where Adam works) and threatens to shoot himself and others because his bill is too high. OMG! This actually happened today. Police swarmed the building and people were confused and probably frightened.
My office isn't doing so hot. Sales is way down and people are cancelling policies left and right to go to a cheaper company who will probably skimp on coverage to get a cheap premium. I know some people have to do what they have to do, but others are just complaining about price and even being ugly in some cases. My boss has worked himself into a deep depression due to personal issues and business issues. Everything seems to be heading south in his life, and it's so sad to see the downfall. I'm not sure what will happen from here. But oddly I'm not too worried. I know that whatever happens, God will pull me through and provide in a way only He can. Still, it can work you into a tizzy if you think about it too much.
And everyone knows about the hardship of outrageous gas prices and inflation. I won't go there. But I can say that I'm looking forward to the upcoming election. I am proud to say I am voting for the 1st time EVER!!! I cannot wait to do it so I can become a responsible citizen. Wait...does this mean I will be in the jury duty pool now? Oh, brother.
And on a random note, my SUV went spinning all over the road tonight as I drove home from work. It scared the daylights out of me, but THANK GOD no one was behind or beside me. I skid across the wet pavement when making a left turn by a gas station. I was all over the road, trying to correct my wheel and avoid the curb. AHHH! Luckily, I was unharmed and my car is fine. Just something to put me in a tailspin. Ok, I won't bore you anymore with my negative comments. Just being honest. Maybe tomorrow will look UP!

OMG! And I thought the woman around here who went into a Comcast office swinging a hammer was scary!
