I'm not quite sure what Ole' means in Spanish, but it sounds like a party word and it's suitable on many levels. First, Monday was Cinco de Mayo. Second, I have been absolutely craving Mexican food (mostly chips and salsa) this week. And third, we're getting ready to celebrate my brother Dan's college graduation! So ole' to all. Let the fiesta begin.
Yesterday was my Friday since I have today off work. Did you get that? Last night Adam & I went to Las Palmas to eat a mexican dinner. It was SO good!! I got my fill of chips and salsa, chicken tacos and rice. Adam loved it because I rarely want Mexican food and he could eat it all the time. So we normally don't eat at Mexican restaurants together unless I'm in the mood.
I arose this morning super early and began laundry, painting my nails and will soon start packing for our trip. I also have to run errands and get the cats settled, etc. Then we will drive to Snellville where we will pick up my dad and head to Dublin for the night. And yes, my parents are still together in case that crossed someone's mind. Unfortunately, my mom can't make it to the graduation because she has her monthly doctorate class in another state. She is presenting tomorrow and cannot skip class for any reason. She is beside herself, but we are planning on taking our video camera and digital camera so hopefully she will feel apart of the festivities. Oh, and since there were no available hotels in Statesboro, Dublin was the closest other option. Then we will get up early tomorrow morning and drive to Statesboro for Dan's big day. Hooray for him! I know he must be thrilled to be done with the torture. And it sounds like we may go to Savannah after the graduation to eat lunch since Statesboro has limited restaurant options and the ones available will be super crowded. I hope the weather is nice so I can take in some rays! My pale skin desperately needs it.
Oh, and by the way...we are 10 weeks in the running!
