I'm a little late posting my weekend abouts, but better late than never. Yesterday flew by before I even knew it and today I'm trying to catch my breath. Let's see...On Saturday Adam worked until 5pm and I spent my day catching up on laundry and dishes, watching a little TV, and attending a graduation ceremony for a girl at our church. After the graduation, I met Adam at work in Kennesaw and we headed straight over to Grandmother & Aunt Gail's house in College Park for a visit and a special belated birthday dinner! I was looking forward to that meal all last week, and it was exactly as I expected. Simply delicious! I got to pick the menu and I chose country fried steak, rice, broccoli, sliced tomatoes and cherry pie! Of course grandmother threw in a few extras as well. I think I crave grandmother's food all year long. At any given time I can remember the taste of almost all of her menu items. Adam loved it too, of course. And I'm sure the baby loved it also :) Depending on what I crave later in pregnancy, I may be asking to come over for dinner way more often.
Then on Sunday we went to church and after the service Adam helped "tear down" the stage area while I ran to the grocery store. Then we ate sandwiches for lunch at home (I know you're loving this much detail) and scheduled time to relax! We have to schedule time for his luxury now. Adam watched some neverending war movie on the big screen, Band of Brothers I think. I decided I couldn't take the blood and trauma so I went upstairs, crawled in the bed and the other 4 of us (me, baby, Daisy & Baloo) watched Steel Magnolias while eating chocolate and napping. Then we made ourselves get up and went walking at the park. I really need to get out more often. I feel much better when I take a walk, but the problem is getting up enough motivation to actually go. Then I cooked lasagna & salad for dinner and we called it a night.
Last night Adam laughed at me because I was heading upstairs for bed before 9pm. He teased me that it was still light outside, which it was slightly. He doesn't get it...I crashed so hard and pretty much fell asleep once my head hit the pillow. I love to rest :)
